This glassy mega-hotel looks like a carburetor on a curb, but you won’t believe the view from the “Iconic View” rooms: straight down Westminster Bridge at the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben’s tower, like a floor-to-ceiling fantasy. Otherwise it’s a well-greased business-class formula that feels more like a convention center, and the cheapest “Internal Facing” atrium-view rooms (scrutinize the room description) are starved of natural light. Still, that means less-desirable rooms are discounted in low season. Studio rooms have microwaves, fridges, and pullout beds, and there’s a dark and soothing indoor pool. And that location!
