The spacious rooms in this delightful hotel retain lots of architectural details from its Belle Epoque past. Most of the ceilings are adorned with masses of curlicues, and some have restored 18th-century murals to gaze upon while you laze in bed. Modern reproductions of famous French paintings hang on the walls, and Second Empire–themed murals decorate the lobby and breakfast room. The romantic decor has a light, feminine feel, in shades of light blue, cream, and grey—considerably more inviting than when the hotel served as a set for the Audrey Hepburn/Cary Grant classic, “Charade.” One wheelchair-accessible room is on the ground floor.
