Fancy going to sleep with the Eiffel Tower twinkling beyond your toes? It’s possible in this slick new hotel, set between the 17th and 25th floors of architect Jean Nouvel’s 120m-tall (393 feet) Tours Duo (two contempory skyscrapers with tilted ‘heads’ on the edge of the modern Avenue de France district). The views are, hands down, the best I’ve ever seen from a hotel bed—largely thanks to the rooms’ picture windows and carefully calculated bed height. On the upper floors you’ll find the TacTac, a brilliant rooftop cocktail spot with yet more of those views, and just below it, the TOO Restaurant, a glass-enclosed cube where chef Benjamin Six serves fantastic Asia-inspired dishes (from 40€). Book for about an hour before dusk, then watch the sun set over Paris’s steely gray rooftops as you tuck in. It’s easily one of the most exciting places to stay or eat in Paris right now, and perfect for those looking for a more modern take on city life.
