So discreet is Michi’s facade (on rue Ste-Anne, the hub of Paris’s “Little Tokyo”) that you’d be forgiven for walking past without so much as batting an eyelid. But miss it and you’ll miss one of the best sushi joints in town, a tiny spot where fish is as fresh as it gets, and the chef works tirelessly to prepare every dish in front of a seven-seater counter, the best seat in the house if you can get it (there’s also a basement). In addition to the sushi and sashimi, look out for delicacies like sea urchin. There’s also a good choice of sake and Japanese beer.
