You won’t find toothpaste at the Publicis “drugstore,” whose name comes from a former 1950s incarnation that consisted of a warren of shops, restaurants, and services “à l’americaine.” This ultramodern, oh-so-chic complex has replaced the funky original, keeping the multifunctional concept intact with shops, restaurants, and a cinema. The Brasserie is the most accessible eating option: a light-filled expanse with an incredible street-side view of the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe. The food is high-end casual, featuring items like gourmet hamburgers, grilled fish, steak tartare, and filet of sole, all delivered by a young and beautiful waitstaff. Meals are served nonstop until 1am, making this a good bet for a late-night meal. Up early? The long daily breakfast menu is available from 8 to 11:30am.
