That means its units have darn good cooking facilities, and get creative about making enough room for multiple guests to sleep and live. In all guestrooms murphy beds can be pulled down from the wall above the couch, turning a sitting area into a sleeping area. Others also have queen-sized "alcove beds" (pictured above) tucked into one quadrant of the digs. Since the windows are large, and the furnishings cutely Scandinavian (lots of blond woods and wall pegs) the effect is cheery rather than desperate. Amenities like free communal laundry machines, a lovely sundeck with hot tub and loungers, and a big gym, add to Placemakr’s appeal. Note: This is one of the few places in the city where units can sleep up to 8 (they have studios through 4 bedroom apartments on offer).
