Popular in multiple locations around Los Angeles, this purveyor of traditional Mexican specialties almost didn’t make it to Las Vegas after a particularly uptight city councilman objected to the name, which can be used as an obscenity in some Spanish-speaking areas. After the dust settled, what was left was a delightful little eatery serving up tacos, tostadas, burritos, enchiladas, tortas, quesadillas, flautas, and more in chicken, pork, shrimp, beef, fish, cactus, and veggie varieties. It all tastes homemade, which is a delight considering the typical processed Mexican fast food that is pretty standard in this country. Note that there are few indoor seats so outdoor dining at the Downtown Container Park is likely; watch the weather or be prepared to wait for an inside table.
