The wonderful Nopa restaurant is not the only reason to head to gritty Divisadero Street, which bisects upper and lower Haight. This long-standing small music hall regularly hosts an eclectic collection of seriously fantastic bands (think the Breeders, Deer Tick, or George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic). Prices range from $15 to $60 (you’ll save a few bucks if you buy beforehand rather than pay at the door), and popular shows sell out quickly, so check the website if you’re interested in catching a show while in town.
