A San Francisco website has apparently negotiated with ski resorts all over the nation for discounts and deals. And in this year, of all years, those deals are going to be many and meaningful. If you'll go to the site Liftopia (www.liftopia.com), you'll immediately find a simple, quick way to unearth low-price lifts and low-price ski resorts, and thus plan a ski vacation that's within your budget. Enjoy
Arthur discovered my little secret from the past two years... Good!
For the last two years, I've been getting weekend ski lift tickets from liftopia mostly for Windham Mountain in NY for as little as $20-30 bucks a ticket. The only catch is that you have to buy in advance for only certain days (availability of discounted tickets and pricing based on anticipated demand, etc) and the ticket is only good for that particular day so if you decide not to go, you're stuck paying. But if you can meet those minimal constraints, you buy online with a credit card and the tickets are waiting for you at the resort service desk... Check often as the deals offered change from day to day once ski season kicks in. Just too good of a deal to pass up given how pricey lift tickets can be.
Looks like they are working with more resort partners this year than in the past, which should be nice.
Dear Suzanne: Thanks so much for reminding us that at least three other websites obtain discounted lift tickets. Good to have you back in the U.S.! Best regards--Arthur
