We will be visiting the Rajasthan then the backwaters of Kerrala, Munnar, and Thechaddy. Wwe would like to finish our holiday in a resort to enjoy the water and beach. Is Kovalam a nice area and isthe water clean or is it better to go to the Goa region?
kovalam is a suburb of the state capital, it is good, but the beaches at Varkala have really taken off and are equally popular with visitors, they are both safe and have been a tourist destination since the 60's if not the 50's. Varkala is about 30kms north and well connected by road and rail. So there is always the momentum of a huge expat crowd at both places and the season is nov/dec, so things might be winding down after the new year....
For your convenience it is better you visit kovalam beach . Kovalam has plenty of hotels and ayurveda resorts.Today this tiny beach is the focus of a multi-million dollar business drawing thousands of tourists for a week dose of ozone UV and a refreshing Indian Experience.
Kovalam is the most popular beach in South India . You can also visit Varkkala which is just 50 Km . There plenty of good hotels and resorts in and around kovalam . I dont personally recommend beaches in Chennai as the climat there will be too hot especially this time of the year .
Yes you should visit these places where you can see almost all beauty of India and these cities have amazing hospitality services as well for all tourists.
