I have a friend who has had major surgery and now has some lung trouble.  She wants to go to the Caribbean with us in Jan- Feb, but is worried about the humidity.
Could anyone tell me about the levels of humidity in the Western Caribbean at that time.  We are looking at going to Cozumel, Belize city, Roatan and Costa Maya.

She is not a person to sit on the beach, so hoped to go on some tours that would take in some cultural spots (eg Altuna Ha  and the city of Belize tour) and feels she would be fine in going to the shopping areas.  She is just really worried about how high the humidity gets.

Thanks for any help or suggestions as to what might be best for her in the Caribbean area.

I don't know if you are interested in snorkling or diving but the 2nd largest barrier reef runs along Belize & Roatan. There are really amazing areas if you enjoy that with a huge variety of species ranging from spotted rays, eels, nurse sharks & coral beds. We spent 2 weeks in Belize but didn't spend any time in Belize City except passing through so i can't give any advice on the shopping.

Thanks for info about the  reef. I did not know that.
We can certainly try that, but my friend just has to take it easy for now until she gets her full strength back, but does want to go on holiday.

What can you tell me about the weather?  How humid does it get?  Will she have to go indoors a lot?
