You should go to Grace Beach, it is beautiful!  If you are limited on time and will not be swimming or laying out I would recommend going to "Da Conch Shack".  It is on a beautiful stretch of beach and it is an outdoor restaurant.  The food is great and they had the best rum punch on the island.  It is known as a "tourist place", but all the restaurants pretty much are.  I liked watching the waves and taking in the beauty while have a nice lunch with my husband.

There really is not much to do besides sitting on the beautiful beaches and eating/drinking.  If you do not snorkel/dive.  Taylor Bay is beautiful, no beach amenities.  It is a private/secluded beach.  Las Brisas restaurant is up the street and has goregous torquois views.  You almost feel like you are in Tahiti it is so beautiful.

Have fun and yes just take a taxi wherever you go.

If you come in on a cruise you will be in Grand Turk, not Providenciales where most tourists go and Grace Bay Beach is. In Grand Turk there's still lots to see and do. You can visit the national museum and take a stroll down front street which still has colonial architecture. Get a taxi and take a tour of the island - be sure to visit the lighthouse as well. The beach in Grand Turk is gorgeous too! You should also fit some time in to go over to Gibbs Cay and you can swim with the sting rays. Quiet, quaint island, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Let us know how it goes!
