Are these in OK shape after Wilma? Bahamas are a mess and I am looking elsewhere but these are awful close to Bahamas. Do you know if the storm missed these islands?

Yes you will HATE Beaches. The help is mean and nasty. The gate man yelled at me and my children! Nasty, rows upon rows of beach chairs, multiple lines. I would never recommend it to anyone, let alone someone with small children!!!

Definitely not!  Beaches TC is wonderful, with or without kids.  It is a spacious resort and had fantastic restaurants and activities.  The staff is wonderful....we are heading back for our 3rd time!  Our first time, the airline lost my baggage.  A driver for Beaches took me shopping to find what I needed to get me through the week.  Here, they will go out of their way to make you happy and are not doing it for tips.  My only suggestion for those traveling without children is to have a later dinner in the evening if you are looking for romance...although, there are adult only restaurants  Kiss

I don't think Beaches is "terrible," but it's definitely geared more toward families with children. It's a large property, but there are always lots of kids around. No matter how they feel about the resort itself, I think everyone will agree that Beaches is the single busiest location in all the Turks and Caicos.

If an active, busy resort is your thing, Beaches might be perfect for you. However, if you're seeking a quieter, less busy atmosphere, then one of the many upscale condo-style resorts would probably be the better choice.
