I am doing research on getting from Tallinn to St Petersburg and I am finding that the bus takes 8 hours!! Has anyone taken the bus before? Is it safe? Were there any problems at the Russian border? L

Busses are very safe, I prefer luxexpress.eu company busses. They are more comfortable than Ecolines or Simple. Prices are around €25. A visa is required to visit Russia.
Go to Estonian Tartu as well. A very lovely city. Busses leave hourly from Tallinn coach station. You can also fly there by flyBE airline from Finnish Helsinki.
