Anyone know of any good flea markets in or near London? I usually hit the antique malls, Alfie's or Gray's but have been told that there are cheaper places to shop for vintage goods. Any suggestions?

On a previous trip I went to the Greenwich market. Not sure how much vintage stuff they had, i wasn't really looking for that. But we had a wonderful time at that market.

You might try Camden Lock Market. It's eclectic but has some collectibles.
Burrough Market in Southwark is a fun place and also has local foods, treats and flowers.
Portobello Road Market (Notting Hill) is huge and may have what you are looking for.
There are many others around the city. You might check with your hotel or just do a google search for markets.
cheers

There is a small but nice market on Wednesdays in Camden Passage, not to be confused with Camden Lock.

It's been a long time since we were there but we used to go to Haymarket Square. Huge market with lots of stalls.  First thing you see upon entering the market is a sign which says "Your pocket may have been picked by the time you read this sign!"  So if it's still there and you do go BEWARE!!!!

I always enjoy browsing the Jubilee Market  in Covent Garden.  Last time I went, antiques day was Monday.  http://www.jubileemarket.co.uk.
I have the Camden Passage market on my list to visit next time I'm in town.
If you're looking for a hotel, check out my blog postings about some of my favorites, http://travelswithcarole.blogspot.com/search/label/London%20hotels

The Shoreditch market is pretty cool for odd things.  It's on Wentworth Street in Shoreditch, not for far the DLR station.  Think it's every day or maybe just Mon-Fri, not 100% sure as I didn't pay attention last time I wandered through there...
