We are headed to Italy for our 30th anniversary.  Because we want to fly premium economy out of SFO (our closest airport) we need to fly into London.  We were in the city in 2009 for an extended stay and loved it.  OK, on to the real question.  We have decided to stay a couple of nights and see a couple things we did not see in 2009.  Abbey Road and Stonehenge.  Seems the easiest thing to do is book tours.  So who has the best tours?  There are so many to choose from on the Internet so thought I would ask the people in the know.  Thanks :-)

When we were in London we took a day trip with Evan Evans Tours to Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral and Dover! It was well worth it and we had an amazing tour guide who filled us in on facts along the way that we would have otherwise not known about!

They also have packages to Stonehenge. As for Abbey Road you could really just go there yourself on the Tube and check it out!

I hope this helps!

To know the best would require one to have tried all the available options.  I imagine few have done that.

If I was to visit Stonehenge, I'd do it in my own - train to Salisbury and bus from there to the henge.

If I was forced to take a tour, I'd probably use this company, since they are small groups, http://www.internationalfriends.co.uk/stonehenge-tours.html

If you just want to see Abbey Road, do it yourself as suggested above.  If you want a Beatles tour that includes Abbey Road, try this guy, http://www.beatlesinlondon.com/
