Any itinary suggestions for 2 weeks in Italy June 2012?
8 of us are going to Italy in June. We want a single villa to base out of. Should we pick two different places, like 1 week in Tuscany and 1 week in another spot? Any suggestions?

When in June do you plan to go and what does your group want to be able to do while they are there?
There was a similar inquiry recently and several suggestions were given as to location, depending on what people wanted to do. I recommend that you browse the recent topics.
Here are a couple of discussions that I think you'll find useful:
Villas are nice for some group purposes, not for others. It depends on the "demographics" of your group. Also, many villas are in the countryside, far removed from transportation, or even nice walking paths, and since you have a large group, then you need to start thinking about multiple rental cars or one big van (which gets hard to park in Italy). There are towns with good train and bus connections and large rentals -- but your group has to want to be in a town. If your group includes young people, they often prefer to be able to walk around in the evening where there are things to do, which means preferring a town. If everybody adores horseback riding or lounging poolside, that's easier to find in the countryside.
If you already know you want to share one villa, and the 8 of you are adults rather than a family with children, you should look for villas that advertise having many bedrooms or "sleeps 12" (not "sleeps 8") to make sure you get enough bathrooms for 8 adults and enough real beds (instead of bunk beds and fold-out furniture).
choose a villa for one week near Florence to visit (most of) Tuscany - Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, Lucca and Volterra - and another one for the second week in Umbria (around Assisi for instance) to see this region full of lovely towns: Perugia, Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Bevagna, Montefalco, (Orvieto and Todi are also worth a visit but are a bit far from Asissi) etc...
