I am an American, flying to Macedonia for vacation with my uncle and cousin. As part of our trip, we are visiting the villages where our respective families came from. My grandparents -- who were Macedonian -- were from villages that are now part of Greece. How difficult will it be for us to travel across the border (roughly 30 miles) into Greece -- and back? We have a rental car, though I am not sure we are allowed to take it across the border. Would it be possible to hire a taxi (or other local driver) to take us for the day? Will there be issues with border crossing? Any advice would be appreciated! Many thanks!
