I can highly recommend Eyes on Africa. Nicky and James are not only extremely professional and capable, but they spend at least a mont a year as guests in various camps, so they experience everything as we would. In addition they are always ready to answer questions, no matter how stupid ou may feel asking them.

James is an accomplished photographer is very helpful in that area also.

Lastl they are simply very nice people and a pleasure to do business with.

I have not used any of those companies, but I have received prices from Eyes On Africa and the pricing was very good for an American company.

However, I do think you may have better luck with a local South African company such as TAGA Safaris at www.tagasafaris.co.za

Regarding Classic Africa, in case it matters to you, until very recently they had an alter ego called Classic Hunting Safaris offering hunting throughout Southern Africa of lions, leopards, you name it. After this was exposed on Fodors Africa forum, the owners quickly shut down Classic Hunting Safaris and have since removed any trace of it on the internet. Very, very sneaky, those people over at Classic Africa!

Hi. I have traveled to Botswana, South Africa, and Zimbabwe using Classic Africa. They planned EVERYTHING for us and that was great given that we had no idea what to expect. I am returning to these destinations in Jan for my honeymoon and we are using Classic Africa again. Pierre and Margaret did graduate degrees in Africa and Pierre is South African and it is nice to speak with folks who have lived there. I highly recommend it. Hunting generates revenue for these countries as well, like it does here in the US, and Botswana has such a top notch poaching campaign that conservation, hunting, and education are all incorporated into the "plan".

Last year in November we went with African Explorations UK to Botswana and Namibia on a family holiday. It was the best holiday we have ever had in a lifetime! I don;t know of the other two companies, but I can say that although they are based in the UK, they have all spent their lives in Africa and the quality of information was streets ahead of anyone else we approached and they were so professional and knowledgeable. In Botswana, we visited the Moremi, Linyanti, the Kalahari desert and the Okavango Delta. We saw so much game and our guide was fantastic, nothing was too much for him and he was great with the kids! In Namibia, we visited the Skeleton Coast, Damaraland and the Namib Desert. I can really recommend them.

Carol, I can only speak about Classic Africa. We've used them on two different trips. They are probably one fo the most enjoyable, knowledgeable couple/companies we've ever dealt with.
I can tell you more about our trips if you wish.

You will adore Africa!
