Here's a website you can use to find if your roadtrip will run into any highway closures, especially HWY 1 in Big Sur.  I've noticed there are times when the highway is closed due to land slides

Here's a website you can use to find if your roadtrip will run into any highway closures, especially HWY 1 in Big Sur. I've noticed there are times when the highway is closed due to land slides and construction. As of now, there are sections that are one laned controlled with a stop light.
