If something is this important to you, no excuse anymore not to do some research ..........

(LA TIMES)  The Scharff family of Spokane, Wash., made a special trip toDisneyland recently to celebrate the birthday of 5-year-old Mason with a ride on the Matterhorn.

So they were disappointed to see the 147-foot-tall attraction covered in scaffolding and closed for repairs until June.

"We came to the park for a few specific rides, including It's a Small World and Matterhorn," said Ronald Scharff, who along with his wife, Kym, brought Mason for his first visit to the park. "Had we known it was closed we might have rescheduled our trip."

Even though kids 35" and taller can ride the bobsleds, a five year old birthday child may find it to be more frightening than fun.

But I agree 100% - if seeing a particular attraction or driving a particular route is a critical success factor for your trip then DO YOUR RESEARCH in advance!

Now if we could just get them to shut down IASW permanently ..........

I once got stuck in the big room on Pirates, watching and listening to the cannonball battle for about 15 minutes.  Then the ride started up again and they never mentioned anything, which struck me as quite un-Disney-like.
