Choosing the Right Theme Park at Disney, FL
We will be at Disney, FL February 26 for 2 days. Any ideas which park will be ideal for 2 adults and a 16-year-old girl?

Well from the Disney Parks probably Animal Kingdom, or Disney HollyWood Studios....but if you've never been you may want to start with the original Magic Kingdom. It will depend on your interests, my favourite personally is Universal Studios down the street!!
Hope this helps a bit!

I don't feel you can go wrong with the Magic Kingdom and actually if you take in all there is to see I would think it would take the 2 days you are there. My wife and I go about twice a year so my comments are from the perspective of "older" people but very active. There are some very nice rides that you possibly will enjoy but certainly your 16 yr old will enjoy and you can shop till you drop at the many stores. Universal is also nice to take in if one has the time but it is not a part of Disney. If you should be staying at Disney you may want to consider making your reservations early even though February is not their busiest time but they are still very busy....Go...have fun!!!

It really depends on your personal interests.

Magic Kingdom is old school.  Do you want to ride the classics like Its a Small World, the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Jungle Cruise?  They are classics for a reason!

Hollywood Studios has some of my favorite rides like Tower of Terror, Rockin Rollercoaster, and Star Tours.  But other than those, I don't love that much else there.

Animal Kingdom is great for animal lovers, plus has a fun thrill ride (Everest Expedition).  But it is a smaller park with somewhat short hours.

Epcot has the longest hours usually, and has, I think, the most to do.  It has some great rides in Future World and so much in World Showcase as far as cultures from around the world.  It absolutely has the best food of all the parks.

They are all fun to someone who has been going all their life.  But I predict Epcot would be a winner for sure.
Just make sure you do some research in advance to make sure you hit the highlights, for whichever parks you decide on.

for a 16 yo I would say Magic Kingdom, it is Disney Land original, mouse ears and all that.

Magic Kingdom and all it has is indeed "classic" and if one considers all that is there I feel it would fit in well for a 16 year old with 2 adults. Sherribaby is indeed spot on especially if you are spending 2 days inside of the Disney Complex. There are some fine restaurants but reservations should be made early. From our perspective we don't feel that the Magic Kingdom is Old School even though we are from that era, nor do our Grandchildren who are ages 16,13,12 and 10. Even though they have been to all in Orlando area, their preference is the Magic Kingdom.

Just buy "park hopper' passes & go to all 4 parks.  You can do 1/2 day in each park & see all the wonderful things in each park has.

I am not attempting to be disrespectful to the previous post but to buy a park hooper pass and attempt to visit all for only a half day would be very cursory and you would miss out on a great deal of things especially if there is any nature of a crowd to slow you down on seeing various things.

I think it depends very much on the 16 y.o. My kids loved Epcot, I think that's not too typical, but they find it more interesting than the other parks. An animal lover would go for Animal Kingdom and a Disney fan would like the Magic Kingdom, a movie fan would love Disney Studios (I'm not a movie fan so that's my least favorite park, but the kids love it). I do second the notion that you spend an entire day in one park- especially if you've not been before. I find that much of the Disney magic is in the little details, the odd nooks and crannies, the paths that wander off, the shows that aren't headliners, the street performers. That's why I never get bored, though I'm not a "rider".

Pick up THe Unofficial Disney guide and use their incredibly efficient itineraries to pick your favorites/must sees in advance.

If you are willing to venture out side of Disney you may like Universal Studios. They have more of the thrill rides that teenagers like.
