We are celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary on Maui this year for Valentine's Day. I'm looking for a great place for dinner and where to order flowers/gifts for delivery to our hotel. We're staying at the Westin Resort. I have reservations at Duo's - would that we a good place?  Thanks for any and all advice.

So many places to eat on Maui. Mama's Fish House would be a great place to go. Also, Roy's you can not go wrong with. Just got back and wish I had more time to go to the many places on  my list. For more casual dining, head to Lahania and stop at Kismo's and a little futher up the coast, Hula Grill. One of our favorites. Have a great time.

Might check out the Grand Wailea and Alan Wongs place should be opened now. We stayed there and they were remodling. He is HUGE in Honolulu. You'll love the Grand also. It's a beautiful property.

Call you hotel to inquire about local florists.  I expect most online flowers sites would have a local delivery vendor too.  Should be a piece of cake.

I second the suggestion for Mama's Fish House.  It has an unfortunate name that implies shabby settings; but it is in reality not only a GORGEOUS restaurant in an idyllic setting, but the food and service are unparalleled.  Might I suggest, for dessert, their famous scallop-shell dessert.  I don't remember the name of it, but you can't miss it.  The 'scallop shell' is made of lucious pastry, and in the middle is a huge, tennis-ball-sized chocolate pearl.  The thing is too pretty to eat... but we managed, lol.  (And big enough for 2 or 3.)

You might want to drive by there in the daytime to get a look around, and be sure to go inside even if just for a drink.  That will give you a chance to check out the evening menu too (which you could probably do online, come to think of it).  It is a bit of a drive from Lahaina to Mama's, but it's worth every minute -- and every cent.  Congratulations, and have fun.

It all depends on how much $$$ you plan on spending for that Anniversary Dinner & the type of Food you want & of course the all important atmosphere.  My Wife & I like to go to so many different places on Maui & love them all for different reasons. Mamma's Fish House is quite good but is quite pricey & I think not as good as it use to be. We love Kimos on Front Street in Lahaina for a great Sunset Dinner & the Food is good but is on a different scale as Mammas. Kimos also has one of our favorite things on this Planet, Hula Pie(an Ice Cream Desert) as well as good all around meals. Roys is also a great place as well as Duo's but again both are up there in price. I also would be happy with an order of Baby Back Ribs & Fish & Chips from Alexanders in Kihei for a quick go in & take out for a Picnic on towel or a table on the Beach, with the one you Love you can't beat that.

I agree that Mama's is fantastic also. However, hold out for a good table. The last time my husband and I dined there, we wound up in the bar area. Make reservations and ask for a front window.
