We are considering taking a trip to Missouri and Illinois the first week in October.   We will probably fly into St. Louis or Chicago, drive over to see Lincoln's Library in Springfield, IL, drive on to Hannibal, and then drive on to Independence to see Truman's Library.  We would  fly back from Kansas City.

Will there be any foliage to see in that area, and how is the weather that time of year?   Would Branson have more foliage, or is this too early for foliage there.

Thanks for your help!

The drive along the Great River Rd from St. Louis to points north is just beautiful.
