My husband and I are in our mid 50’s and are trying to plan a weekend trip to Branson, very soon, just to get away. We need advice on a nice place to stay. It doesn’t have to be 5 star but we don’t want a motel. We would also like to have a suggestion for a nice evening dinner. We prefer a change restaurant we would prefer a place for a nice dinner and drinks that is special for Branson. We are not wanting to go to any shows, we are really wanting to rest and do some shopping. I am not familiar with the plus size women’s shopping in Branson. If anyone can give us some suggestions that would be great. We have been to Branson many times but it has been at least 15 years since we have traveled there. All suggestions will be welcomed and appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.

This may be after the fact, but I would recommend Big Cedar Lodge. It is very relaxing and has beautiful grounds. The only caveat - it is a little bit outside of Branson, so if you plan on spending a lot of time in Branson, be prepared for just a little drive. I hope that helps.
