Unique places to eat and/or drink?  Clean affordable place to stay?

Just looking for some first hand info from a local or someone who has made the rounds to Cicny.

Thx in advance

I would stay downtown or over in N. Ky on the river.  Plenty of hotels that should be pretty reasonable.  Arthurs downtown is a great restaurant/pub and one of the oldest in downtown Cincinnati.  Gotta try Skyline Chili - there is a location downtown and it is a must if you are in Cincinnati.  Also try Graeters Ice Cream (also downtown) order any scoop but make sure you order something with chocolate chips - the chips are huge and the ice cream is the Best!!  Over the river in Newport, KY is the Newport on the Levee... bars, restaurants (Dewey's Pizza is a must), live entertainment!!  Our Zoo is fabulous (but don't know if a bunch of men want to hang out at a zoo :)  It will be very hot and humid so bring light clothes and enjoy....right now our Reds are in !st place!!

Just did that!  I agree with the poster above.  Personally, I like to stay on the Kentucky side in Covington or Newport.  There seems to be much more life over there after dark.  It's very easy to walk over to the ballpark from there or take the ferry from the Hooters barge where they have a great pre-game happy hour next door at the Beer Sellar.  If you have the time, I'd recommend you drive over to Louisville and see the Louisville Slugger factory and museum.  Great attraction, especially for the baseball fan.  $10 gets you the tour and a souvenir bat.  You even get to hold a game used bat from some of the greatest players in the game...I got to hold Mickey Mantle's bat.  Check out our report for our time there at this link...includes pictures and video: http://tinyurl.com/2bzjxzx
