August this year.  We will be visiting UC.  There are 3 - maybe 4 of us (all adults).  We may hire a car.

Party in the Park is concert series every Wed. evening (free) at Sawyer Point on the Ohio River.  Riverbend is also an outdoor concert venue.  Bogarts is close to UC with many different music acts.  Mainstrasa in Northern Kentucky has lots of different bars in a concentrated area.  If you like amusement parks, try Kings Island just north of Cincinnati.   The Cincinnati Zoo is nice, as is the Museum Center with the Omnimax Theater.  Visit Eden Park with a great view of the Ohio River, the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Krohn Conservatory.  Cincinnati is a baseball town, catch a Reds game at the Great American Ball Park.   You may be able to take (Metro) the public bus to the above mentioned places.
August is hot, to cool off try The Beach Waterpark or Sunlight Pool at Coney Island.  Try canoeing or kayaking down the Whitewater River near Brookville Indiana, less than an hour away from Cincinnati.  Brookville Lake has a beach for sunbathing and swimming.
Enjoy your visit!
