I took the Norwegian coastal ferry (Hurtigruten) a few years ago. Sort of a mellow cruise ship (not as big, no onboard entertainment but still had comfortable rooms and ample food).

We went in late May and it was awesome. Midnight sun, cold but not unbearable weather. Seems like late June would be a wonderful time to go as well.
