Frommer's Review
This relatively small hotel has all the touches of a luxury property yet is very reasonably priced. The sandstone-brick building is an agreeable blend of traditional Moroccan/Berber decor with modern and Art Deco finishes. The rooms are large and bright and some have balconies with wood sun chairs. Most of the 58 rooms look inward to a central garden and pool area with timber decking and thick-cushioned sun lounges and beds. There are three deluxe rooms, which are slightly larger than the standard rooms, while a few suites look out over the beach resorts to the ocean; and that's the catch -- the hotel is located about .5km (1/3 mile) from the nearest accessible beach and 1km (2/3 mile) from the nearest shops and restaurants. Timoulay tries to make up for this by offering a pretty good restaurant serving both Moroccan and international cuisine, served in a classy dining room of polished wood flooring or on a terrace overlooking the pool.
