On the north side of Tamanu Beach resort, the basic bungalows here are popular with backpackers, who should book as early as possible. There's nothing fancy, but you will be right beside the beach. Two of the units are over-under models, while a third stands by itself. They have double beds with mosquito nets (the units are screened), cooking facilities, and hot-water showers (hut dwellers share toilets). Attached to the rear of the owner's home, an apartment has its own bathroom but lacks the huts' charm.
