The colonial-style brick facade of this classy, immaculately-maintained hotel, known for excellent service, is easy to spot from downtown Alexandria Bay--its proximity to village shops and the St. Lawrence River waterfront makes it one of the most popular and accessible hotels in the region. Accommodations range from comfortable standard rooms to deluxe, two-story or "loft" Jacuzzi suites; be sure to request a room with a balcony overlooking the Thousand Islands. The hotel's Jacques Cartier Room is touted as the most elegant restaurant around, with an extensive wine list recognized by the Wine Spectator.
