Frommer's Review
In its own park on the southern outskirts of the city (a 10-min. walk south of the rail and bus stations), this is the town's leading hotel, having hosted over the years everyone from Sir Winston Churchill to Franklin D. Roosevelt, along with a lot of World War II spies. A Victorian building accented with turrets, ornate railings, and a facade painted with pastels, the Reina Cristina offers a view of the faraway Rock of Gibraltar. On the premises are a small English-language library and a semitropical garden. The comfortable, high-ceilinged rooms have excellent furnishings, including comfortable beds and bathrooms with tub/shower combos.
