There are a lot of seedy joints in Algeciras where you can lay your head. This newly constructed hotel isn't one of them. It's the most modern and up-to-date in town. In front of the Puerto Marítimo, it is only 1km (1/2 miles) from the city center. The rooms are severely modern, yet comfortable, and the hotel is well maintained. Most of its guests are in Algeciras just to wait for the ferry to Tangier. Accommodations are midsize to spacious, with large bathrooms, and most of the rooms open onto views of Gibraltar. The decorator of this hotel was in love with chocolate, which accounts for the color of the hotel's decor.
