The classiest, most historic, and elegant gathering place at night is Caffè Costantino [STST] in the center of town near the harbor at Piazza Civica 30 (tel. 079-976154), open daily from 6am to midnight. In the evening, the cafe draws a fun-loving young crowd to its ground floor precincts in the 16th-century, Gothic-style Palazzo d'Albis. The hippest bar in town is the aptly named Il Tunnel, Via G. Ferret 37 (tel. 340-2476190), which draws patrons of all ages to its location inside an ancient tunnel. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 6pm to 2am, it serves plenty of alcoholic drinks, but the bartenders also specialize in nonalcoholic cocktails. Drinks cost from 6€ to 12€ ($8.70-$17).
