Alta Gracia is one of the main towns, situated in the foothills of the Sierra Chica, 35km (21 miles) south of Córdoba. It is famous for its Jesuit-built town center, but its commercial center is not so pretty. Once a popular haunt for wealthy Porteños escaping the summer heat, it still boasts some impressive summer villas in the residential zone.
