Introduction to Alta Gracia

35km (21 miles) SW of Córdoba

Calamuchita Valley, south of Córdoba, is a booming agricultural zone dotted with large reservoirs. Alta Gracia is one of the main towns, situated in the foothills of the Sierra Chica, 35km (21 miles) south of Córdoba. It is famous for its Jesuit-built town center, but its commercial center is not so pretty. Once a popular haunt for wealthy Porteños escaping the summer heat, it still boasts some impressive summer villas in the residential zone. The town itself is a good base for hiking, fishing or several lazy rounds of golf.
