Hotel La Bussola

We like this welcoming hotel right on the beach by the harbor, with its clean lines and decor, and eco-friendly policies (it's one of the few on the coast to be certified). A great example of industrial architecture, La Bussola is in the former Pastificio Bergamasco, a historic pasta-making factory. A short walk away from the medieval town, it offers pleasant accommodations and kind, professional service. Guest rooms are bright and comfortable, with colorful tiled floors, and modern bathrooms (some with shower only). Most rooms open onto private balconies, with the better rooms enjoying full ocean views. Standard rooms do not have A/C, and only some have balconies and minibars; it is worth paying the extra 10€ to upgrade to a "class A" room or above. The restaurant is excellent and focuses on seafood.
