Frommer's Review
Should you have both a train to catch and some eating to get done, Centraal Station's brasserie is a good choice; it's no run-of-the-mill buffet, though it is a tad overpriced. The dining room, in the station's first-class waiting room (ca. 1881), has been restored close to its original Art Nouveau elegance. Despite high ceilings, wood paneling, tall windows, chandeliers, painted pilaster columns, and potted plants, le Klas is rather gloomy. Drop by for just a coffee or a beer, and you'll sit at a table along the wall; for a meal, you get a table in the central dining area. The soup of the day is usually good and quick, as is the club sandwich. To squelch more substantial hunger pangs, there are Caesar salad, Dover sole with salad and fries, beef stroganoff, and more.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
