Frommer's Review
The biggest center-city hotel in its class has a great setting in several converted 17th-century merchants' houses (and a chocolate factory) beside the Amstel River, just behind Rembrandtplein. Rooms vary quite a lot in size, with some of them on the small side. Still, they're all well cared-for and have bright, modern furnishings. Many have a fine view of the river, and these are the most desirable -- and most expensive. The Garden of Eden brasserie, overlooking the river, is a good place to try Dutch specialties and international dishes.
