Frommer's Review
On Vondelpark's edge in a quiet residential district, this hotel in a renovated Art Nouveau mansion (ca. 1900) is a good choice. Both inside and out, it's as near as you can get in Amsterdam to staying in a country villa. Furnishings and decor are tasteful, and combine Louis XIV and Liberty styles while featuring stained-glass windows and Murano chandeliers. The house also has a private garden and terrace. It's about a 10-minute walk through Vondelpark to Leidseplein.
