This is a friendly place in the up-and-coming Nieuwmarkt area, popular with students, artists -- and guidebook writers. It was built around 1900 and was originally used as a waiting room for the horse-drawn tram. The walls are still ornamented with tiles from that period and a painting of the South Holland Beer Brewery. There are lots of beers on tap.
