Frommer's Review
You'll swear you never left the States when you see the array of bestsellers in the American Book Center on Kalverstraat near Muntplein, which claims to be the biggest U.S.-style bookstore in Europe. It stocks magazines and hardcover books, hot off the presses. Prices are higher than at home, but the selection beats any airport or hotel gift store, with a range of categories including ancient civilizations, astrology, baby care, science, science fiction, and war. Students and teachers get 10% off simply by showing a school ID.
