An industrial-chic hangout at the avant-garde Westergasfabriek movie theater, with rough plaster walls and concrete floors. A daytime menu sees lashings of organic cheeses and salamis, organic bread and tapenade, or homemade soups of the day served up with wheat beers and frothy cappuccino. Sturdier options including organic steaks with spicy pepper sauce or interesting seasonal salads are available between 5:30 and 9pm. The cool clientele often includes Dutch movie actors, and in summer the action spreads out onto the cool alleyways around the cultural complex. Service can be a bit offhand although that doesn't seem to impact the weekend crowds who pack into this bastion of cool in their grungy hundreds.
