The largest indoor antiques market in The Netherlands is situated in Jordaan. Formerly known as De Looier, it’s a cornucopia of Delftware, porcelain, silverware, wonderfully restored furniture, and bizarre statuary straggling through several old warehouses. There are 46 dealers with permanent stalls here, specializing in anything from Bakelite phones to priceless pocket watches. Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday sees dealers from all over the country bring their wares to a table market just outside the antiques center; get their early and you just might find that elusive Old Master oil painting. Open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 11am to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm.
