Linda and Norm Seitz, the owners and a couple with a long history in Alaska, treat guests as adopted family, telling stories and giving travel advice. Which makes this an excellent pick for your first night (or nights) in state, as the Sietz' will give you a good grounding in what to expect. As for the house itself, it's well kept, if unremarkable in its looks (think: typical suburban home) but the beds are comfy and the housekeeping flawless. Two of the three rooms have bathrooms attached and the last has a private loo across the hall.
