Andong has several small traditional markets, since it serves as the trading hub for other smaller towns in the region. The Andong Shijang is a great place to get the regional hemp cloths and traditional wooden masks. It's open on days ending in 2 or 7.

You can also find mask reproductions and other souvenirs at the Hahoe Mask Museum at the entrance to the Hahoe Folk Village. Other than its masks and soju, Andong is also famous for its rice paper, its apples, and its red peppers, whose thick skin makes for really great powder and chile paste.
