Frommer's Review
This local eatery and bar lies on Fresh Creek's northern tier, near the bridge. It's in a tropical setting, with coconut palms shading diners who sit at tables with views over the water. In "The Green-Eyed Lady Bar," patrons feed leftovers to fish waiting under the deck. The signature drink is the Hanky Panky (don't even ask what's in it -- it'll put you under the table).
Most diners start their meal with conch fritters, following with more conch, either steamed or cracked, or else the catch of the day which can be either steamed, fried, or baked. Chicken and ribs are also served, but the main-course specialty is the seafood platter with conch, fresh fish, lobster, turtle, or shrimp (you have a choice of three). The most elegant offering is the lobster dinner, which is only offered at certain times of the year.
If you'd like to stay over, Hank rents four basic but air-conditioned bedrooms for US$95 (£48) per night in a double.
