This pavilion a few steps from the edge of the sea, on the northwestern part of the island, fulfills anyone's fantasies of a relaxed but classy beachfront eatery; its doors open to the breezes and its walls are brightened by local murals. All the breads and desserts, including ice cream and sorbet, are made fresh daily on the premises. You might start with Barnes Bay lobster cakes and homemade tomato tartar sauce, or creamy conch chowder flavored with smoked bacon and chockfull of onions and potatoes. Grilled local crayfish is splashed with lime, curry, and coconut; chicken is barbecued with rum; and snapper filet is marinated in a soy-sesame-tahini mix, but the simple grilled fish with lemon-and-herb butter shines.
