Frommer's Review
Is it Anguilla or the minimalist cool of South Beach? This all-suite hotel opens onto lovely Shoal Bay East fronting 2 miles (3.2km) of white sands, among the finest in the world. The folks at the swanky Cap Juluca run this sensuous enclave named for what the Arawaks called a sacred place. It's a casual yet chic resort, designed to attract well-heeled young professionals. It's a sort of dine-barefoot-under-the-stars kind of hedonistic retreat. Its 75-foot-long (23m) bar and hip French/Caribbean restaurant, where a DJ spins the tunes, set the tone for this ultra-plush enclave. The 775-square-foot, white-on-white suites are among the island's finest, each with a fully equipped kitchen and an exceedingly stylish bathroom. The suites lie in five one- to three-story buildings, and each unit features an oceanfront or oceanview balcony. A small spa offers massages, facials, and other treatments.
