The four-star Talya Hotel, recently added to the Divan portfolio, has the comfort and character of a smaller hotel with the elegance and amenities of a five-star establishment. A six-story cement wedge, the Talya is designed in such a way that every room enjoys a balcony and direct sea views. You may never have your back to the window, but the view on the inside is of immaculate and tastefully decorated -- some even sunken -- rooms. An outdoor pool, splendidly heated in the mild winter months, rests atop the cliff overlooking the sea. Steps down the cliff side is the hotel's private "beach." The fitness center, accessible past a popular Internet cafe, is one of the nicest I've seen, with a Jacuzzi, tanning salon, and fabulous Turkish bath (free to guests) designed with tile and wooden benches. If you really want to pamper yourself, reserve one of the 10 bungalow-style suite rooms down on the cliff.
