This special-category hotel is the closest you'll get to standard hotel amenities in Kaleiçi without sacrificing character. Three Ottoman Pasas' homes of differing styles were restored and redecorated, keeping embellishments like marble balustrades, wood beams, and polished trim. There's a long marble staircase to the rooms above in the main house, and all rooms are outfitted with bathtubs, comfortable duvets, and feather pillows. The terrace suite has access to its own rooftop sun terrace, offering breathtaking views of the marina (another room gets a Jacuzzi -- and twin beds). Afternoons will most certainly be spent in the courtyard, an oasis of peace with a larger-than-life aquarium swimming pool, or in the new fitness room complete with a small sauna. The Marina also has one of the best restaurants in town.
